There is panic in Agra, the most favoured tourist destination in Uttar Pradesh over coronavirus pandemic after a newlywed woman was found to be hiding the deadly viral infection. The woman tested positive for novel coronavirus.
A large number of citizens were seen wearing facemasks on Monday, despite the medical advice urging uninfected persons not to wear these masks.
The woman had recently been married to a techie employed with Google. The couple had gone to Italy for honeymoon. On their return they were found to have contracted the coronavirus infection.
While the husband was admitted for treatment in Bengaluru after he tested positive, the woman escaped quarantine and reached Agra, where her parents live and where she was found living in hiding.
